The 2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition is one of the only 1,964 cars produced. 1964 was the year that Ford unveiled the Mustang to the world. It was a huge success and is among the favorites of the pony cars. The 2015 Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition is Ford’s vision for the future while adding the classic and distinctive touches of the past. Like the louvered quarter glass, the chrome trim around the door & quarter glass, chrome trim around the tail light lenses and through the grill, etc. The 2 tone cashmere/black seats and door panels are similar to the early cars with the 2 tone Pony interior. The 50th Anniversary was the first of the new body style to be produced and of the 1,964 produced, this car is among the first group of cars to roll off the production line. It is car number 45 of the 1964. Each 50th Anniversary Edition came fully loaded. This includes Ford Performance Package, a $2,495 option on the Mustang GT, adds a shut brace, larger radiator, unique chassis tuning, larger rear sway bar, heavy duty front springs, K-brace on the chassis, improved Brembo brakes, unique tuning on the electronic chassis components, a numerically taller 3.72 rear axle ratio, oil pressure & vacuum gauges. The only options were the transmission (automatic or manual) and color choice of Wimbledon White or Kona Blue. This is the rarer of the 2 colors. Only about 30% of the cars were Kona Blue. So it is estimated that there are approximately 600 Kona Blue cars. This is the 45th car Mustang built. This is designated with the dash plaque and in the VIN. This example has only 11 miles and comes w/ 2 keys + remotes, books and floor mats are still in the wrapper in the trunk.
