1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Eleanor Project — Here is a Mustang Fastback Eleanor Project car. It is a rolling chassie, the undercarriage and suspension are already done. The car was going to be white with blue stripes. The front & rear suspension kit, sub frame connector, rack & pinion steering unit, and the wilwood 4 wheel disc brake system were purchased from TCI (Hot rod speciality shop). The original shock towers were removed and new inner straight aprons were welded in. This was to widen the engine compartment, so any engine would fit nicely with plenty of working room. It has a custom tilt stainless steering column. The front seats are new Shelby Series 1 leather bucket seats. The rear end has been completely rebuilt with a  3.89 gear ratio. Here is a beautifully restored Shelby GT350 Tribute car. Restoration started with a solid California Mustang Fastback. Lots of attention was given to detail to make this car look like the real deal. Take a good look at the photos and you’ll see why. The car was painted back to its original color of candy apple red, adding some white Lemans  stripes. The drivetrain consists of a 298 V8 with a rare Paxton supercharger, 4 SPD transmission, and a 9 inch read end. The car also has front wheel disc brakes. This Shelby GT-H Convertible is as nice as they come.  It is one of the lowest mileages GT-H’s that came out of the fleet.  We first purchased this car with a group of 15 cars in January of 2008. These cars were  the first in the fleet to be sold.  They were only in the rental fleet for 6 months.  They had between 4,000 and 10,000 miles. Over the next 36 months we bought and sold 112 of the 500 limited production GT-H convertibles.  Each time we purchased a group of cars they had more and more miles, in the end, the last couple of cars had over 50,000 miles on them.  Many of these cars went to collectors across the country, even a few to Europe.  We sold this car nearly 4 years ago to a collector here in Florida.  He has kept it inside and has driven it less than 200 miles, since he purchased it from us in February of 2008.  The car is in amazing condition and is like looking at a 6 month old car.  When you open the door and get in it, it still has that new car smell. The car is all original including, tires, paint, and stripes.  It is a car for serious collectors.  It comes with all the important documentation, like the window sticker, Shelby invoice to Hertz, and a copy of the original MSO.  We also have a copy of the 1^st title when the car was titled to Hertz.  Hertz had Shelby in their rental fleet in 1966, 68, 69, 70, and 2006, the 1^st year of the 2^nd generation.  In 2007, Carroll Shelby made exclusively for the Hertz Corporation 500 Shelby GT-H Convertibles.  This was the 1^st time in Hertz history that a Shelby convertible was introduced into the Rent-A-Racer Hertz Fun Collection Program.   Each car was given a Shelby serial number just like back in the 60’s.  This is car #CSM 07H 146, which is the 146^thcar of a limited run of only 500 cars.  So here is your chance to purchase a piece of Shelby history and own a classic with great investment potential.  Can you imagine what a 1966 Shelby Hertz car would be worth today with only 5K original miles?  If it even existed it would be priceless.
